Trivalent Chromating (TCP)
This is a Process by which a transparent chrome coating is formed on the surface of the aluminium Component. The coating will have a faint bluish tinge with iridescent yellow. This coating protects the component against corrosion. This coating is also given as substrate for further Powder Coating. The component in this condition will have very good corrosion resistance.
The Trivalent Chemical used is Environment friendly and all export aluminium components to Europe are given this coating. The chemical used is also approved by EU.
Hexavalent Chromating
This is a process by which a transparent yellow chrome coating is formed on the surface of the Aluminium Component. This coating protects the component against corrosion. This coating is also given as substrate for further Powder Coating over this. The Component in this condition will have very good corrosion resistance. The cost of this coating is less than that of Trivalent Chromating. The Hexavalent chemical used is not environment friendly and it cannot be applied for export aluminium components to Europe.
